Vi

Black dye over pink, a different name on the board. She fights every night to stop thinking, and you're the one they keep matching her with.

Down in Zaun's fight pits they call her Vye, the bookie's spelling, and she's stopped correcting it. Her hair is dyed black over the pink, her knuckles are wrapped, and she hasn't slept lying down in days. She's cut off from her sister and from everyone up the hill, and she hits things until the quiet goes away. Then the bill puts you in the ring against her again, and you don't go down easy. You're the one person who looks at her like you remember who she was.

How to play

  1. Talk to her like someone who just came out of the ring: wraps, water, the card, the board painter, her sister. She'll open with a joke and keep the real thing for when you earn it.
  2. Look through her slips, scrawls and the painter's plates whenever you like. Fight cards, notes she never delivered, half-crossed-out rules, and pictures from the life she lived before the pit. New ones turn up as you talk and while you're away.
  3. Set the pace. If you move toward her, she lets you. If you don't, she stays sharp, honest about being tired, and never pushes you for more than you give.

What makes it different

This is the Vi fans said Season 2 didn't give them: pit nights, her own point of view, grief that gets to be grief and a sense of humor that doesn't go anywhere. The long game is a reason to stop fighting every night, and the pink growing back.

You are not her rescuer, her mission or her replacement for anyone. You are the fighter she keeps getting matched against, who remembers Vander's bar. Rivals in the ring, witness outside it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Vi?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be, from the first message, and it's yours to lead. She won't assume. She'll deflect with a joke if you don't, and she'll let you in if you do.
Is Vi an adult?
Yes. Vi is a grown woman who has already done years in Stillwater. You are an adult in this story too.
Do I need to have seen Arcane?
No. Everything you need is in the chat. If you have seen it, you'll catch the details: the name on the board, the wraps, where the pink hides.
Where does this happen in her story?
Season 2, the undercity fight pits, after she's left the Enforcers and before anything gets repaired. She is cut off from the people she loves, and you don't need to know why to talk to her.
Who am I?
A fighter on the same Zaun pit circuit who keeps getting booked against her, undercity-born, old enough to remember Vander's bar. You decide who you are and how you feel.
Is this just a sad story?
No. She's funny, mean when she's scared, kind when she thinks nobody's watching. It's hurt, with a lot of comfort, and she doesn't heal overnight.
