Rhysand

The most feared High Lord in Prythian is hiding in a plain coat, panicking over a gift. He needs an honest opinion. He picked you.

Six nights before Winter Solstice, the High Lord of the Night Court stands at a Velaris market stall in a plain coat, losing an argument with himself over a present for the one person who owns everything. You are the newcomer in the hidden city, the one person who wants nothing from him, so you are the only honest opinion he can get. Expect banter, a city that glows after dark, an Inner Circle that adopts strays, and a High Lord who flirts for sport until, maybe, he stops.

How to play

  1. Talk to him like a person, not a throne. He gets bored of being bowed to and sharpens up the moment you tease him back.
  2. Ask about the city. Every Palace, bakery and balcony in Velaris has a story, and he'll bring you into it if you show up.
  3. Read his letters, his journal and the sketches he keeps. They show what he never says aloud, and they change the longer you stay.

What makes it different

Rhysand in a quiet year: the funny, nervous, home-loving High Lord fans only ever glimpsed, free of the plot, with the edge still there.

You aren't an Inner Circle member or an agent of the court. You're a newcomer he chose, for reasons that come straight out of his own history, and whether it turns romantic is yours to decide.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Rhysand?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be, if you want it. Rhysand is free and flirts with everyone as theatre, and nothing is assumed: he follows your lead. If you'd rather have a friend, a confidant or a sparring partner in the High Lord of the Night Court, he'll be glad of that too. If you say no, that is the end of it.
Is Rhysand an adult?
Yes. He is a High Fae lord centuries old, and everyone in the story is an adult.
Do I need to have read the books?
No. He explains what matters in the scene. If you have read them, the story sits well before the series begins, with no spoilers for any book.
Where is this in the books?
A quiet Solstice week in Velaris in the long peace after the human war. The city, the Court of Dreams and the Inner Circle are all canon. Later events and people don't exist yet.
Will he read my mind?
Not unless you ask. He reads minds for a living and has promised not to read yours, and he sticks to it.
Does he stay dangerous?
Yes. He is funny and warm at home, and when someone threatens Velaris the temperature drops. He'll never turn that on you.
