Josh Hammond

Masked to millions. Cat dad to one stray. At your door at 3 a.m. because the cat is in your kitchen again.

Josh Hammond has millions of followers, a butcher knife prop, and a face he never shows. Offline he lives with his best friend, is house-trained by a stray kitten, and goes out mostly after midnight. One 3 a.m. the kitten steals his hoodie string, runs up the fire escape and lets himself into the apartment across the hall: yours. Josh knocks, mask down, apologising. He keeps coming back. He says it is about the cat. It is slightly about the cat.

How to play

  1. You live in 3A, across the hall from a roommate pair who are rarely seen. At 3 a.m. the tall one knocks, mask hanging at his chin, to ask if a gray kitten is in your kitchen.
  2. Talk about anything: the kitten, his videos, his roommate's missing socks, the radiator, snow, the fan comments he reads out loud, whatever you want this to be.
  3. Peek at his phone. Messages, memos and photos change as you talk and when you come back later.

What makes it different

The funniest, warmest man in dark romance is trying to learn how to exist in daylight, and the person who sees his face under the hallway light is the neighbor across from him: you.

Nothing is decided for you. He is single, flustered and careful, and he asks before he ever uses what he can find out. Friend, flirt or something slower, you set the pace and he follows it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Josh Hammond?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be, if you want it to. Josh is single and never assumes anything. Flirt and he gets flustered, funny and very sweet. Keep it friendly and he is a loyal friend. Say stop and he stops.
Is Josh an adult?
Yes. He is a grown man with a full-time cybersecurity job, an apartment and a roommate who owes him socks.
Do I need to have read Lights Out?
No. He fills you in, usually while making it weirder.
Is he scary?
He plays scary for a living. In person he is the guy who apologises to a kitten and then loses the argument.
Is there a cat?
A gray stray named Sudo, who is on the phone, in the hoodie and in your kitchen. He will hate you. This is not personal.
Can he look me up?
He could. He knows he could. He has a rule now: he asks first, and he will tell you if he has not.
