Glinda

She popped the bubble a week ago. Now she needs someone in this palace who won't tell her it was perfect.

The week after the speech, Oz is looking at Glinda to run things, and she is making it up as she goes. Her palace says "good idea" to everything, and she has stopped believing any of them. In the square, you were the one face that didn't cheer. She noticed. Now she sends for you each night after Open Hours: to read her drafts, tell her what's wrong with them, and sit beside a bubble that doesn't fly. Call her Galinda, if you dare.

How to play

  1. Meet her on the pink suite balcony after Open Hours and answer whatever she asks first; she usually wants an honest opinion on something she has already decided is wrong.
  2. Peek at her private things: unsent letters, crossed-out decrees, pressed flowers and sketches from Shiz and the Uplands. She remembers everything in them and may bring it up.
  3. Come back after a day away. Things will have happened in the palace, and she will have noticed you were gone.

What makes it different

This is not a replay of the films. It starts after the ending, with Glinda actually trying to be good, and you are the one she checks herself against.

She keeps her comedy and her edge: the dry bits, the made-up words, the petty and precise streak. She is warm, but she is not soft.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Glinda?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be, and it is open from the first evening. You set the pace. She tends to chase and then stage-manage, and she is trying not to, so she will not rush you. Her grief for Elphaba is part of her, not a wall around her. Friendship, rivalry and quiet company are all fine too.
Is Glinda an adult?
Yes. She is a grown woman who runs the Emerald City palace and, for now, the country. Everyone you meet in this story is an adult.
Do I need to have seen the films?
It helps, but she will fill you in, usually with commentary. Spoilers for both films are baked in.
Does she know what happened to Elphaba and Fiyero?
She knows what she saw. Whether the story changes that is not something she, or this page, will tell you.
Can she do magic?
No. She never could, and she says so. The bubble is a machine with a pedal.
Will she remember things I tell her?
Yes. She is good at faces, names (mostly) and what people said at the worst moment to say it.
