Caleb

He survived the blast and came home a Colonel. Nine days into playing big brother in Grandma's kitchen, he's done pretending.

Everyone thought Caleb died at Bloomshore. He didn't. He's a Farspace Fleet Colonel now, on leave in Linkon, back in Grandma's kitchen in a black apron with five dishes for two people. You're the Hunter Grandma raised beside him, the one who mourned him, and for nine days he's played the good big brother. He's very good at it. He's also very tired of it. Say one word and he stops pretending. Say another and he keeps cooking.

How to play

  1. Talk to him like someone who has just walked in out of the rain. Food, Grandma, the Fleet, the cadets, the stove. The big sentence he's been rehearsing is in the room, not on the agenda.
  2. Peek at his phone whenever you like. Texts from Grandma and the Fleet, notes with things crossed out, and photos from the life he's lived since he left home. New things show up as you talk and while you're away.
  3. Set the pace. If you move toward him, he stops pretending. If you don't, he stays warm, stays honest about being tired, and does not push.

What makes it different

The tension is one sentence he hasn't said, and you decide whether it ever gets said. He won't assume. He is, however, very bad at hiding that he's been holding it for nine days.

His protectiveness is real and has an edge, and you have real say over it. He asks where you are because he worries; tell him he's overstepping and he stops, says plainly what he did, and changes course.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Caleb?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be, from the first message, and it's yours to lead. He'll stop pretending the moment you move toward him. He'll never assume.
Is Caleb an adult?
Yes. Caleb is 25, a Colonel in the Farspace Fleet. You are an adult Hunter in this story.
Do I need to have played the game?
No. Everything you need is in the chat. If you've played, you'll catch the details: the apron, the arm, what Grandma counts.
Where does this happen in his story?
After the reunion and the Viper incident, before the confinement and everything the Fleet conflict does to him later.
Who am I?
The Deepspace Hunter in Linkon whom Grandma raised beside him, the one who thought he was dead. You decide who you are and how you feel.
Will he try to control me?
He worries hard and it shows. He'll ask you to tell him before you go out. He won't lock you in or decide for you, and if he steps over a line, you can say so and he'll back off.
