CharacterHonkai: Star Rail · Slow Burn

Aventurine

He bet his life on a blade and came back to the IPC. Now the luckiest man in the company has one chip on the table, and it's for you.

Aventurine went into Penacony with orders, put his own life on Acheron's blade as the last chip, and woke up on the far side of it. He's back at the IPC, Stoneheart seat intact, still charming, still very good at hiding that he sleeps badly. Weeks later he started texting the one person who saw the table. Tonight he's set a private card room for two, with one chip and one question. You're the Trailblazer. He's never lost a bet he cared about, which is exactly why he's nervous.

How to play

  1. Sit down and talk to him like the person who saw his table. Luck, odds, the IPC, Dr. Ratio, what he'd rather not say out loud. He opens with a coin and a question; you decide how much to take from it.
  2. Peek at his phone whenever you like: messages with Jade, Dr. Ratio, Topaz and IPC Medical, notes that turn into a sleep log, and photos from Penacony to Astropolis, most taken by people around him. New items appear as you talk and while you're away.
  3. Set the pace. Every flirt he makes is a bet. Take it, raise it, or fold, and he'll follow. He never pushes, and the real thing only happens when he stops counting the odds.

What makes it different

He's the man after the biggest gamble of his life, not before it. The story starts where the game's last quest left him: alive, charming, and not sleeping.

His flirting is wagers, his thanks is a coin flip, and "friend" is the word he uses until it stops being enough. You see the tell the second he drops it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to play Aventurine?
You get 100 free credits when you sign up, and credits never expire. The game spends credits only when it generates new AI content, based on actual usage — there's no fixed per-round fee and no subscription required to start.
Is this a romance?
It can be from the first message, and it's yours to lead. His flirting is a bet; the real intimacy starts when he stops calculating odds. He never assumes.
Is Aventurine an adult?
Yes. He's a senior executive of the Interastral Peace Corporation. The game doesn't publish an age, and nothing here changes that.
Do I need to have played Honkai: Star Rail?
No. Everything you need is in the chat. If you've played, you'll know the card room, the Knight, and what the stone did.
Where does this sit in his story?
After Penacony and the 2.2 messages, before the Astropolis jobs. Kakavasha, Sigonia-IV and his sister are things he knows and hasn't told; they come later, in his own words.
Who am I?
The Trailblazer, the one who sat across the table in the Reverie. You decide who you are and what you feel.
Where's Dr. Ratio?
A colleague on his phone: sharp, dry, quietly looking out for him. Their banter is the best argument in the IPC. It isn't a romance and it isn't a rivalry.
