Games Like Liar's Bar You Can Play Alone or in a Browser

Liar's Bar is a great table and an empty one when your friends are asleep. Its Steam page describes "a table of four" and tags the game Online PvP and Online Co-op; it says nothing about bots or a single-player mode [1]. So if what you want is the feeling of the game, four seats, everyone lying, one call of LIAR that decides it, but right now and alone, this list is for you.

We sorted the alternatives by what they replace: a solo table with AI opponents, a browser table for friends with nothing to install, and phone apps. Gotcha Liar is our game and is listed with that disclosure. Everything else was checked on official pages on September 21, 2026.

What Liar's Bar actually is

Curve Animation released Liar's Bar on October 2, 2024 at $6.99. The official description calls it "a den of lies, deception, and mind games" where you "grab a seat at a table of four" in "the ultimate first-person multiplayer online experience" [1]. The two core modes are Liar's Deck, a face-down card game where you claim what you played and get challenged, and Liar's Dice, the classic bidding-and-doubting dice game. Losing a challenge means a pull of the trigger.

That description is the whole reason this article exists. The game is built for four humans online. Take that away and you need something else.

Gotcha Liar

Ours, so read this as the maker describing it.

Gotcha Liar is a bluffing card game against three AI opponents who are all lying. Everyone plays face down, claims whatever they like, and you call LIAR when you think a claim is false, or let it pass and bluff bigger yourself. The opponents are not scripted; they make their own decisions each round and talk in character while they do it, which is where the game gets its personality. It runs in a browser with nothing to install.

Liar's Dice on FunNode

FunNode's Liar's Dice is the best first-party citation on this list for solo play. Matches can include zero to eight bots alongside human players, it runs in a browser, and it is free with an optional subscription [2]. The rules page spells out the standard game: five six-sided dice each, bid or challenge the previous bid with a call of "Liar," and the loser of a challenge removes a die. Optional Spot On and Wild Ones variants are supported. You can play as a guest without an account.

Cheat on GameSlush

Cheat, also called BS or I Doubt It, is the folk game Liar's Deck is built on: play cards face down, claim a rank, get called. GameSlush's version says in its own words that you can "play with friends or learn the best strategy from the tough AI," and it runs free in a browser after sign-up [3].

Perudo, the official app

Asmodee Digital publishes an official Perudo app for iOS and Android with a single-player adventure mode against computer opponents, pass-and-play, and online play for up to six, at a reported $1.99 [4]. We could not open the App Store listing itself, so treat the price and mode list as press-reported rather than first-party.

Play with friends, nothing to install

Skull on Board Game Arena

Skull is the purest bluffing game on this list: four face-down cards each, three roses and one skull, and you bet how many you can flip without hitting a skull [5]. The physical game is by Hervé Marly, published by Space Cowboys, three to six players, about thirty minutes; its official digital home is Board Game Arena, which runs it free in a browser with no download [6]. Human players only.

Coup on Board Game Arena

Coup is bluffing with roles: claim to be the Duke, the Assassin or the Captain whether you hold the card or not, and dare the table to call it. Two to eight players, about five minutes a game, free in a browser on Board Game Arena [7]. Human players only.

Liar's Dice on Tabletopia

Tabletopia hosts Liar's Dice free in a browser for two to six players, fifteen to thirty minutes a game [8]. It is a sandbox for humans; there are no bots.

Cheat on CardzMania

CardzMania's Cheat is free, needs no download, no sign-up and shows no ads, for three to twelve players [9]. The page does not mention computer opponents, so count it as a friends table.

How to pick

If you want the Liar's Bar feeling right now and alone, Gotcha Liar gives you the cards and FunNode gives you the dice; both are in a browser. If you have three friends and nobody wants to buy anything, Skull and Coup on Board Game Arena are the fastest tables to sit at. If you want the dice game on a phone with a campaign, Perudo's official app is the one to check, with the caveat above.

And if you do own Liar's Bar and just want to practice reading a bluff before your next four-seat night, an AI table is the right place to make your mistakes.
